Gulf Air does not permit the carriage of animals (except for seeing eye dogs) in the passenger cabin of aircraft.

Live Animals on Gulf Air will only be accepted as Cargo under master airway bill.When your pets fly with Gulf Air, they no longer have to endure the six month quarantine period in the EU when shipped directly from Bahrain, provided they have already been vaccinated against rabies and have been micro-chipped.

Transporting pets as baggage is a service that is only available for household cats, dogs (Including Psychiatric Assistance dogs for specific routes) and only available on flights directly operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines, this service is not applicable if the passenger’s itinerary includes connection with interline segments.Pets must be placed in appropriate containers and transported in the cargo hold as checked baggage. Small Animals (except service dogs carried by disabled persons), their containers and food are not included in the Free Baggage Allowance and can only be transported as excess baggage. In accordance with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, with the exception of assistance dogs, passengers are not permitted to bring pets or animals of any description into the main passenger cabin of an aircraft.Hong Kong Airlines accepts domestic cats and dogs* which will be transported in a pressurised section of the cargo hold of the aircraft.
